    It's been a while... I could not find the right tone and volume knob that will not be to big, not to small, not too bling, not to... and will do justice to Brainy. I mean Brainy would have put thought into this as well.

    Therefore today I spent some quality time with the mill in the freezing garage, and came up with this proof of concept. The knob isn't done apparently. Need to cut it off to a usable height - the excess is just to hold it safely in the chuck.

    18mm diameter at the bottom, 3.5 degree tilt. 8 indents which are 0.8mm deep measured at the outer diameter. knob prototype1.jpg knob prototpe 2.jpg

    Thanks, I guess I will do a few more, trying out different wood- the mando will definately get these too.

    D'oh! I'm old and the last time I had my paws on a real machine tool the dinosaur in the treadmill died, so shop class was cancelled.
