I am really only jesting, I do agree that being noticed is the key point for performing. Prince played some weird guitars and he was quite good at playing guitar and performing.

I also laughed a bit when I noticed how our avatars lined up with each of our sides of the discussion. Cheers!

Sorry if this is a silly question but what is a b bender? I've seen them but never gotten to play them myself. What do they do and why aren't there any on strats?

When Brad's new album dropped he played in Nashville with John Forgerty. I read he gave John a prototype of his Fender signature model, but I haven't been able to find a picture of it.

From a very reliable source directly from a Fender rep: "Between you and I the rumors are true! They haven't gotten all the build information finalized yet so pricing and ordering are on hold. They are expecting to make the announcement at Summer NAMM."

    So there you go...

    I'd rather not! ;)

I realize that taste varies from one person but I just don't get the sparkle thing at all. (Although I have to say that Chrissie Hynde has one and it's pretty cool... for a girl... j/k)

as you impliedd it is a matter of different tastes for different people.
For me the silver sparkle thing needs to be saved for tasteful items like strippers pasties and plastic xmas gift wrapping tape, with one exception,, when Billy Zoom picks up his silver flake Duo Jet and starts to play.[IMG]

It's a drink made with 100%, 200 proof alcohol available in labs every where.
it's a very potent cocktail made with 200 proof booze, (B stands for Bear as in one of these will knock a 8 foot grizzly bear on his behind,;)) kalua and cream, one ounce of golden rum and a couple of teaspoons of sugar, served in tall hurricane glasses ice stirred. Usually, served at country clubs of yachting affairs:D

IMG_1649.PNG This popped up on Fender's official Instagram "story" section. Maybe it's the guitar in question? I don't know anything about brad paisley though. Is that his autograph on the front of it??

I don't believe that is the guitar. As far as I know Paisley's 63 Fender tele is silver sparkle with a rosewood board. The signature model is 'loosely' based on that apparently (albeit with a maple board)

Hmmmmm wait a minute. Isn't Brad's most famous guitar the pink paisley one?

I know he's got all sorts of sparkle Crooks etc etc but the guitar he became BRAD with was the pink bomber

    Correct?

If it had a G-bender in it for just a few hundred more... I would probably be all over it. No G-bender makes me wonder why bother?

I can't yet bring myself to hack up one of my teles for a G-bender but I would do one factory installed if it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

The sparkles don't bother me if it is close to his personally owned tele... coming from a guy who would LOVE a Buck Owens signature Red, White, & Blue tele.

If it comes in at 799, and you use the frequently available 15% off coupon, you're out the door for 680. Not bad for a sparkle body and a unique neck. You can part it out or play it as is.

I'd like a silver sparkle body, but with a rosewood fretboard, thinner neck.

We should set up a buyers club--people who want the bodies, and people who want the necks. Pair them up and they can subdivide and partscaster to their heart's content.
