Someone played Boz Scaggs Lowdown on the radio yesterday.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoy some of his stuff.

Especially the guitar work/solo in Breakdown

I loved his first album (the one with Duane Allman). His second was good too. I think that's the one with the song "We Were Always Sweethearts" on it. That band played around the bay area a lot back then. I liked his stuff from between the time he left the Steve Miller Band up untill he started having radio hits the best.

Yes, his early stuff was best.

I just dig that guitar on Breakdown.

Boz just played here in our little town, and I had a gig the same night. Couldn't go...
Big fan of Boz from the beginning!

I just listened to his latest album Memphis(2013) not long ago. Boz is still sounding pretty good. It's got Ray Parker Jr. on guitar who I think is underrated.

His first album is one of my most favourite records. There's not a duff track on the whole record. This song is great in so many ways.

    very next track.

His voice on the first album was unbelievable. I like the Duane stuff, but the other side is were the gems are.

    Here ya go.

One of my favorite spots is at 53:20 mark. The backing vocals are incredible.

The sometime other guitar player in my dad band is touring with him now. He couldn't go camping with our group this weekend because he was out on the road with Boz.

His name is Mike Miller. He takes solos at the 3 and 4:30 min. marks.

He should be embarrassed that he ever played with me. But it was just a bunch of dads from our kids school messing around with covers for school events and random family parties.
