Wow...
Plugged it in. This thing is a little beast. Played it thru my Vox for almost an hour. Outta the box.

Neck is fine. Needs the back smoothed out. Keys are surprisingly good. Nut is too high.

Pick Ups are pretty snarly. Lacking midrange. Sounds Scooped when distorted. Sounds Woody when playing clean.

Pots and Switch are fine.
Fun guitar.

I feel like I can do Steve Vai or Paul Gilbert acrobatics when I'm playing
on a Short Scale.

Score! I would totally buy another one for that price.
I did something different with mine:

...But, the stock Bullet humbuckers are nice pickups, so I saved them for a future project—and just yesterday it came along—a friend gave me a '91 Epiphone SG with no pickups. I cleaned it up and installed the Bullet HBs — they sound terrific, now this SG is a unique beast:

Yeah...
The Pick Ups are growing on me.
I can't put the darn thing down.

I had a 65 Mustang a long time ago. I recall the body was thinner than a strat or tele, so it may be the same thickness as a vintage mustang.
