I love the Tremolo sound I can get with my TR-2 but I wish it had tap tempo.

Any Trem's out there that can do a similar sound/style tremolo? I usually have the wave dial at noon and depth at 3 o'clock. just wish I could tap in the rate...

    Thanks,
    BHM

I have a Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter that has similar depth and wave controls, as well as a "Shape" control (basically manipulates the relationship between attach and decay), and you can switch the "Rate" knobs function from simple TR-2 style to subdivisions of the tempo you tap out.

There's a green version that's been discontinued that you can probably still find used (I got mine via Guitar Center), and there's a later, purple-ish(?) one with a different layout but similar functionality that I think is still available.

This is probably the closest to the TR-2 price point.

Me, too, without a doubt. Was it you that had the board that was all that color?

I was going for surf green and/or aqua...but yes you are right. However, a Hot Cake deserves a spot no matter what color it is.

I know you have the Deluxe Plus, but I'd say you have room for a dedicated trem like the Pipeline. Or, maybe Valcoder.

My current board is no longer color coordinated, but maybe someday.

You could always get some aqua replacement knobs for the Hot Cake to bring it into line.

Great idea! Actually that board was for my Vox, now that it is sidelined with a bad volume pot I'm using my Hot Rod Deluxe.

Not to alarm you, but wanted to let you know that someone has snuck a flanger, of all things, onto your board. Be sure to wear gloves when removing.

I've been warned there's a lot of flanger parking pirates this Christmas!

If your guilt is consuming you, feel free to send me a pedal of your choice...except for an acoustic simulator....

Having owned the TR-2 three times over the last 25 years, I can say with confidence, that if you love "that" tremolo but need tap tempo, you should get the newish Fulltone Supa Trem Jr.

I have had my eye on that one as the Boss's replacement - figured I'd see what the community suggested before I went that route...

The Shape Shifter has a wonderful tap function, and sounds better to me than the TR-2.
