My son is showing an interest and some ability with the guitar and seems to like a range of genres.
I was thinking of getting him this Boss ME-25 and wonder if folks here think it suitable for a beginner.
It looks to have a minimal number of options on the panel compared to many ME units so this is appealing. The USB out is another bonus.
I am aware that these have been around for a while so other suggestions could be of interest.
    We thank you

The Boss ME80 has a more intuitive layout imo although if i was a kid again, I’d be delighted with either.

A looper or looper feature would be nice for practicing. If he has an ipad or iphone there are free apps like music notes that will add drum and bass to recordings of guitar too.
