Well, Roland/Boss is a Japanese company so I think they understand what they are what they are doing with "Ka." And I was wrong. It's a katakana character, not hiragana. Katakana is used for rendering foreign words, sort of like how we use italics. "Katana" is a Japanese word that means a long, curved, single-edged sword. Samurai carried two swords, a katana and the shorter wakizashi, which Boss probably should have used for the Katana Mini. A Boss Wakizashi. Kind of has a ring to it.

I stand corrected! My American sensibilities did not notice that that stroke starts above the horizontal one. It's pretty simple for a kanji too. Learn something every day!

130SS......wonderful.....I have a 130SS BD-2. Rolls right off the tongue. Actually sounds like a bad AI translation/description for a counterfeit pedal of some kind. Look for one on eBay soon!

'130SS D' is deceptive marketing! It's really only 50 watts Solid State, not 130 watts, and it uses a linear chip-amp technology, not class-D. They did get the SS part right though.
