I have the Katana 50(old version) that Sweetwater was blowing out and I haven't been in the "Modeling Amp Camp", didn't have a lot of love for Solid State amps and really bought this one because it was cheap and had a lot of effects that I didn't have.
Well, color me impressed. I'm not getting rid of my Tube Amp, but I do like this amp and can't really complain about it.
The new models are sounding good so far.
I am (right now) making a “Strat Boldening” amp in Channel 2 of my Katana 50... love it. Gotta’ get that Strat out front!
Yea, Boss scored a huge homerun with the Katana line.
But they get another huge homerun with how they have kept the price so low.
I have always thought my Fender amp was so groovy, and it is. But now I think my amp is so Boss, and it is.
This demo is decent, i love my katana 100
So, if by chance you meant to write a C, I ask, how would you bolden a Strat in your Strat Boldening Camp?
That's the best I've ever heard one sound.
I tried a Mk1 50 (along with pretty much everything under £500) and wasn't impressed at all.
I'm beginning to think I didn't give it a proper chance.
It sounded better than the Marshall DSL20 though, which is the most disappointing amp I've ever tried.
Ended up with an Orange Crush 35RT.
All just noise though, innit? Some you like and some you don't.
We're all different and everyone's opinion is equally valid.
I don't like the demo, but the amps are good.
Speaking of Ola, I liked his recent 'Will It Chug?' video featuring the new Ultra Tele.
Despite all the gain, it still sounded just like a Tele.
Most things don't keep their character when subjected to that type of behaviour.
I was seriously impressed.
One of my guitar buddies just walked by and was impressed by the sound... then he noticed it was hooked up to a computer with lot
I just acquired the MIM Strat... it got lost Sunday.
I started with a crunch (?) amp 0 gain.
Then used a clean boost at 0 gain.
I used two different eq.’s somehow.
Then a subtle plate delay.
A bit gritty , but, as I add guitar volume knob, the volume goes up well (rather than getting muddy.)
