Man I have always loved the Dimension pedals. When the C came out they were instantly hard to get. I found an old TC and it was great too. So, I settled for the TC, thats how good the Cs were. The stereo image on this circuit is special. Super spacious without all the swoosh and tone thinning. Now it has stereo input! Thats great!! This, after a Vent II Mini, and the new Source Audio True Spring verb... I cant keep up with the gas anymore...

Nah...all you guys want it with a blend knob...or it needs midi.. Maybe it is digital...or the buffer is bad, or a kill dry button;)

Anyways some phasing is needed to actually get that wide spread....

There is a good explaination of how the Dimension effects work starting at the 28:30 mark. They demostrate the D and the C back to back. Man, I forgot how good these things sounded. Want!

The owner of the music store I worked at (Henry Lee) had the rack unit and just loved them. Fantastic player with an awesome sound, and oddly enough he got his jaw dropping sound through the old first gen tube Peavey Mace amps. He sounded the same no matter what he played through(One those guys). He had us fighting over any Ds or Cs that came through. I never won. I’d be willing to bet the D-320 must be on some of Eric Johnson’s albums as well.

while this might keep me from building a diy dc-2 it won't stop me from building a diy ce-1

Wow! I built a CE-2 recently and it works perfectly now, but had hard time finding obsolete chips and getting rid of ticking noise.

Is it just me, or does it just sound like light reverb???

I have not been so excited about a pedal reissue since... well, ever.

In case this one has not been posted yet...

i have a dc2 build/pcb sitting on my desk... dreading even finishing. I see that boss suggests it's analog but not fully convinced. if anyone knows if this is actually bbd based - I'd love a confirm. videos sound good to my ear.

Don't let the upcoming release of this pedal put you off making your own. I made an Aion Blueshift and it was the most rewarding and USEFUL pedal building experience I ever had... though maybe the last one, as well.

I have an original DC-2 also. I can't believe they Waza'ed this one for some reason. It has some great sounds. Best used in stereo applications.

EDIT: - Pre-ordered one also ... love the new options on the -2W.

v nice. I have two of these pcbs. I normally etch my own but for this... just not happening. I have built my own version of the dimension p, several 15v ce2s, small clone, elec mistress, clone theory, and the like... but just the schem on this is a beast.
I will eventually build it, and if all goes well and it fires up great! but this is not one I want to do an audio trace on!

Noodled with one yesterday. Just like I remembered it - 1985 in a box. Take that as you will.

Well, they DO have reverb on it but, put some good headphones on and you can certainly hear the SDD-320 magic spread. The famous no button down setting on the Dimension-C does that no swoosh spread thing like the D, otherwise it is a straight up chorus thing, albeit a good one. The Wasa version does the Dimension-D thing, man, thats all I need to know. I forgot how good those things sounded in stereo. The Dimension D on a Rhodes is just breathtaking.

My wifes keyboard has some of the old Roland effects onboard. Here is a good demo of the difference between the CE-1 Chorus and the Dimension D sound as played by a Rhodes sound. Its very apparent on this demo.

I hear a lot of early '80s British music in there: Smiths, Echo & the Bunnymen, Cure.

Pretty cool unit.

"Premium Waza Craft pedal with all-analog audio circuitry"

" It’s often mistakenly called a chorus effect, but it’s actually not. Though time-based like a chorus, the Dimension’s circuit is quite unique and sophisticated, subtly enhancing the width and depth of the source audio without any prominent modulated movement. "

I never agreed with this being classified as a common chorus and therefore a dated 80's effect. There's more to it.

I'm excited about the Dimension D switch. Can't wait until it arrives.

Tried the TC clone and was underwhelmed. It was amid wankery at a retailer we all know...can’t see the $ layout for Waza for my (live) needs. Very cool demos though...

I tried one of those as well. Not EVEN the same thing. It was aweful. Its not even stereo. How did they miss that? There no comparison especially to the D.

I preordered a DC-2w last week and it showed up today. The videos have been posted, so you know how it sounds, so I thought I would post pics of the PCB since people have asked if it is analog or digital. Unfortunately, I’m having some issues linking to the pics, but I’ll get it sorted out.
