Being blessed with an ample supply guitars to choose from, I had not been playing this wonderful Britt Daniels guitar much and I wanted to use the ebony board neck that was on it - on a different Tele.
So, the body went "neck-less" in my guitar closet for a while. I even thought that perhaps I might sell the body.
Then today, I had a thought to try a maple neck on it... and string it with 11's (since enjoying some baritone guitars recently with beefy strings on them, I've been finding 10's on most of my other guitars a little too easy for me to push out of tune).
Having three unused maple necks in the guitar closet, I grabbed a 2018 USA "Highway One" neck that had been sitting idle. Mounted it up. Strung it up. Tuned it up.
And now, I have much renewed enthusiasm for playing the guitar! And I think it looks great.
Cavalier Lioness neck pickup and Fender CS Nocaster A3 bridge pickup. The A3 mags in the Nocaster bridge pickup seem to tame the bridge trebles a bit, which I appreciate.
Woo hoo. Easy way to get "re-enthused" with a guitar that had been sitting idle.
