    This is my first post!

I recently graduated from a Squier Affinity Telecaster to a Player Telecaster, which I absolutely love - it has an incredibly smooth well crafted neck, great weight, and just feels solid. I decided to upgrade the old Squier for fun and ordered some Bootstrap Original Recipe tele pickups, along with a mojotone solderness wiring harness, and I gotta say, these pickups sound awesome. I did a quick A/B with the Player which has Alnico 5 pickups (the Bootstraps are Alnico 3, handmade in Ohio and made to vintage 51 spec) and I actually sort of like the sound of the Squier more than the fender. The pickups have a smoother, twangier, more natural? sound to them and the fender has a more pronounced mid kind of vibe to them. If you’re considering a pickup upgrade for a tele, the Bootstrap Original Recipe’s are amazing.

I have a set of their Pretzel for Tele in one of my Squier Teles. I am really anxious to try the Serrano Humbucker though. Just got to find the $$$.
