You may recall these ladies playing and recording with Jeff Beck a couple of years ago.

Great version of Bowie's 'I'm afraid of Americans':

What a lovely Tele Carmen has...

Cool band, never heard of them before. Really enjoyed the fist one.

A couple of questions...not critical, I get its partly a "performance" type band.

Where is the bass coming from, is it beiong triggered from the drums?

The singer occasionally cracks some guitar riffs but I dont hear that in the mix, is it there or more part of the stage performance?

I saw them with Jeff Beck at a local venue a couple years back. Great Show. Check out Becks album Loud Hailer.

I have never heard of them either, but here is another song that seems to highlight the tele player's ability a little better.

There are some interviews on the internet, but the short version is:

They were basically unknowns, playing in pubs in London. Carmen met Jeff at a party, jammed a bit, told him to come and see them play. She never thought he would...but they were playing in a bar to about 10 people and Jeff and his wife turned up, watched the whole show and it went from there. Not even a record deal at that time, and that happens...unreal!

Huge respect for Jeff, he could have played/recorded with literally anyone.

    Intense.

Here's a nice interview with Carmen. I can't stop looking at the dark rosewood on that AO Strat...
