Dayum. I'm stowing away next year on this cruise....
I like each of those guys and they are masters of the instrument without a doubt, but I for one could not tolerate (for that length of time) or be confined on a ship with the amount of pure wankage that's going to take place there.
I feel like I would need at least a year long break from guitar/guitar based music, just to break the monotony.
A blooze jam that never ends...
If you come off that boat without having heard every lick in existence ad nauseam I'd be completely shocked.
There's truth in the saying "too much of a good thing"....
Great playing, thanks!
I like what I saw in the clip!
I am sure it was a great time!
Any opportunity to be in the same room as Tommy Emmanuel is a good one.
That cruise will be a massive sausage fest. Wall-to-wall blooze dads in flame print bowling shirts drinking IPAs, and playing blues box scale wankery on custom shop Les Pauls.
And then one passenger gets some flu symptoms ...
I heard COVID19 might be appearing on the cruise too.
seriously... we are getting whisperings of our upcoming spring and summer festivals potentially put on hold.
Great clip that cruise one, watched it today and almost played it myself
Just saw this one now, Phil would have slotted right in on that ship
I created a thread yesterday about that video. https://www.tdpri.com/threads/josh-smith-tommy-emmanuel-telecasters-and-other-guy.1008471
I first heard about josh Smith a few days ago, seeing him as a guest in a signature pedal demo (lovepedal tchula), then I found him playing with Jack Conte from Pomplamoose (one of those YouTube bands that are worth following), and now Bonamassa. Anyway, he is good.
Here, funk/country vibe:
Yeah, but a forced quarantine with those 3 guys would be an added bonus!
That's why you hang out at the pool and scout out the ignored wives and girlfriends. Make it a real blues cruise...
Well the, men don't know, but the little girls understand
All you gotta tellem is "blooze, really ain't my thing"... and you instantly become the object of their desire.
This is an interesting approach, and if I weren't married I'd probably give it a whirl.
