I know people will bag on this but I can't wait. I've been a fan since I first heard him nearly 20 years ago.

I'll watch it when I get the chance. No bagging here. Joebaggers make me wonder who they think they are.

I'll definitely be watching that. Just waiting for the Joe bashing to begin...

He is the master of self-promotion. He should do a video about that too.

I think he is great. I'll watch this.

What I have never understood is why he comes in for so much flak. Seems like a nice bloke who did it the hard way with a ton more chops than most of us will ever have.

Legendary bluesman? Did he grow up a sharecropper in Mississippi? Legendary must be the new word for loud & boring.

Is that your prerequisite for being a "bluesman"? Lame.

His thousands upon thousands of FANS, the ones that fill all those sold out theaters, will really dig this... several guitar forumites, not so much LOL

As far as "not a bluesman", Clapton, Vaughan, Gales, etc. were also not born and raised on a sharecropper's lot in Mississippi...

I’m being serious here - I like almost everything about the dude - except his playing. Wait - I actually liked that one acoustic gig from Europe they played on PBS. So there’s that.

Not a fan, would never pay to see him, but I’m not going to bash him.

I like the 'regular Joe' persona; the one we get when we see JB on things like the Norman's Rare Guitar (YouTube) videos.
Hell, there is even one with Steve (I believe filmed in Nashville) where at the end of the video Joe is actually smoking a cigar. Joe is the proverbial 'regular Joe' in all of those videos.
I just cannot relate to the Joe that shows up on stage in a suit, sunglasses, shiny shoes, and that 'tude.
That Joe just ruins Joe, for me.
    Legendary? Possibly.
Needless & unwarranted visual hyperbole? 100%
Joe's stage persona mimics a one man KISS show for blues oriented aficionados.
    I won't be on demand ............

I feel almost the same way, except I have no problem with his playing. I’ve just gotten away from listening to all overly solo guitar stuff. I know his stuff is songs with lyrics, there’s still a lot of solo guitar.

But I like listening to him talk gear. Is he a master of self promotion? Yes. But these days you have to have a presence on social media and stage to be successful. He’s knowledgeable and articulate and doesn’t mind sharing how he does things in social media and a lot of people love his stage presence.

He has the "influencer" thing down quite well. He does have a degree of real talent as opposed to some major influencers (like those who have a last name starting with a "K") who are sorely lacking in that department.

I dunno, seems like a genuinely nice guy, gifted, with a firm command of his genre. Not a big fan but he has earned my respect as an accomplished musician. And, I'm sure he cares about what I think.....not. ;)

I'm not a fan of JB but at least he is a very talented guitar player. I like his videos at Norms.
I just shake my head at the amount of NO TALENT people that hit the Big Time.
Its all about the snow [ I mean sales ] job.

Merle Haggard was a Legendary Blues Man.
