Purchased a restored but otherwise presumably original 52 Blackguard a while ago, refinish was done at Fiesta Finishes, Berkeley, CA sometime around 2004/5. Took the Telly to my local luthier the other day to get it refretted. When disassembled we noticed neck and body both are penciled with the same date 11/8/52, TG (Tadeo Gomez) on neck, EM (Eddie Mendoza?) on body.
I've seen and played quite a lot of these vintage Fenders but never laid hands on one with identical production date on both components. Someone out there has a Tele or Strat from the 50's with an identical peculiarity?

    Peace
