The original released version has an accusatory tone. This one's more reflective. It's a great song which ever way it's pitched.
I guess you know Dylan's brother got some MN musicians when Eric Weissberg and Deliverance, were fired. Blood on the tracks is cobbled together by genius.
One of my fav Dylan albums.
In the released version he's spitting out the words - very angry. You can hear the love that once was and disappointment in this version.

Yeah, the version I have is like venom.
He sounds sad and regretful in this version. The released version is just venomous... it's up there with "Positively Fourth Street" and "Like A Rolling Stone" in terms of how angry he sounds. Nasty in the best way. He sure knows how to express his distaste for someone.
