Love blue as a colour and recently got one of these:

My missus loves this guitar so much, she's put it on a stand in the lounge.

Nice one. Pleasing all the people all the time. :)

My wife likes candy apple red so my Muddy Waters is our bedroom guitar.

I've got an ES349 in "cherry" with some nice figuring which lives in its case. This "Starlight Blue" (as Ibanez calls it) is just stunning. The only thing I don't like about it is that the back of neck is painted the same colour and it doesn't feel as nice as some of the bare / lacquered wood necks on other guitars I have.

I think they are very good for blues.

I’ve got a blue Ibanez SX72 with a blue neck, posted some time back. I know what you mean about painted necks.

I never imagined that a shiny, painted surface could actually be something that slows me down - and I'm pretty damned slow at the best of times!

Indeed - there is nothing like worn lacquer necks down to the bare wood sooooper smooth and feel so natural.

I can't bear to cut back my lacquered Gibson Rickenbacker and other necks so I just clean them rigorously and carry a little talc for my fretting hand before playing both of seem to eradicate any drag.

I like those satin finished necks. I know some folks will take to a sticky nitro neck with the steel wool. I just can’t bear to do that.

Yes. I'll cut back lacquer on Fender necks any time, but not on coloured lacquered finishes.

Definitely a warm colour guitar kind of guy. Palest colour I own is a BSB CV telecaster, everything else is either CAR, Black, sunburst or Amber.

That said, I’d totally rock a Pelham Blue Les Paul Standard if I could find one for a good price. Not into any of the Fender blue colours, sorry!

I used to never see blue guitars. Then I hated them, especially Gibson's blue burst. I'm still not thrilled with blue stained maple tops from PRS. Fender car colors are cool. I have a green on green car color Gretsch Anniversary and I know some people hate that color. It was something I wanted when I was a teen in the 60's when I saw it in Sam Ash and couldn't even come close to being able to afford it. About the Fender car colors; my next door neighbor had a turquoise and white two tone Chrysler. I think I could go for a white pickguard on one of Fender's blue bodies. But to me, car colors work on Telecaster, Stratocaster, and Jaguar. Jazzmaster still has to be sunburst and thinlines sunburst or natural.

I do like blue guitars. And would love to add this one to my collection. Just a bit out of my price range though.

Never thought that I could say that but actually I am digging the new AO blue 60s tele.
I don't like the modern appointments but its look is haunting me and probably it is just a nice looking and playing guitar, regardless of the vintage correctness.

Used not to - until this came into my life. Based on a MIM Std. McNelly p/u's and set up for slide. Best Tele I've had. 20171203_144643.jpg
