If you have to work with someone, it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself. And if you don't work with them, why bother?

The lazy guy took today off so of course the rest of us talked about it. They all have the same opinion as me about the guy, he's lazy and pouty when he doesn't get his way.

    Here's what set me off.
Another guy and I had to run to the main office. That left him alone in our "satellite shop/office". Normally he'd use that time to nap or go online but he was given the task of doing maintenance on a trailer. That job takes me maybe an hour and a half if I'm slow. This guy hates having to work alone, because of the "work" part.
You have to jack the trailer up and we have several safe options for doing that, floor jack, large air jacks and a set of electric lifts that'll pick a dump truck up so you can walk under it.
    (remember the lifting part)
So the other guy and I end up taking longer because we had to do something else. I get a call from the supervisor and asking where I am because lazy guy needs help on the trailer and called him. Of course the supervisor thinks I'm screwing around but I explained what we're doing and he's fine with it and he calms down.
Service on this trailer is greasing, (electric grease gun) checking the air in the tires, checking the lube in the axle bearings (looking through a site glass) and checking the air brakes. It's a one person job!
We pull back into the shop and lazy guy has lifted the trailer with the front end loader and put a couple of jack stands under it. He's seriously ticked off at me but I help him finish up and he gets the loader and damned near kills me as I try to pull the jack stands out!
I say nothing, I'm going to forget it, like everything else. . . . Until the next morning when he's still pouting like a spoiled child about it.
So I asked him if he called the supervisor and he says "no".
At that point I blew my top.

The damage he did to the trailer has been reported. Nothing will be done about and when I see him Monday morning he'll still be pouting about it. (we do 4-10s)
Yeah the aftermath won't be pretty!
I might get called into HR but there's two witnesses to the trailer/loader bashing and they were present during the "conversation".

Sometimes I miss being self employed!
Even though my boss was a total jerk!

Although lazy coworkers are frustrating, it's best to let a supervisor handle the criticism(unless you are the supervisor). We have all had those issues, but we were not the people who hired them.

If you slack out on an aussie work site... you'll soon know about it....

I've mostly worked in small businesses or offsiding a tradesman building stuff... often just me and the boss...

I don't go to work to goof off or take naps on the side.... unless the boss decides it's going to be that kinda day....:D

That's more like what I'm used to.
There was no meeting with the HR people.
Hell if someone would've asked me what HR ment I would've said, Herrington Richardson. :)

Herrington Richardson was a brand of firearms.
