I'm blessed with my health, and that of my dogs. Flash, my wonderful black Lab, went to the vet just this afternoon and got a completely clean bill of health. He's lost eight pounds since last visit, lab (see what I did there) results were perfect, and he was deemed "the spitting image of health " by his favorite vet, a cute little blonde lady who's kind of a favorite of mine too.

I'm also grateful for my friends, who are my surrogate family. If not for good Samaritans, I wouldn't be posting here today. Too much to tell, but I'm basically fresh out of biological family and I am blessed that folks have adopted me, as it were.

And I'm greatly blessed to be here with all of you. This is the ONLY social media I mess with, and it's a good place to be. Thanks to all of you for your intelligence, humor, and knowledge. Not to mention for putting up with me and my dog pictures!

1) My parents. They weren't the best, but they gave me the love and support I needed.
2) While I didn't often take full advantage of them, I had the best educational opportunities that anyone could ask for, and they set me up for success.
3) My associations. I've had some great friends and relationships, and I've loved a lot.
4) A career (in the sciences) that allowed me to express myself creatively.
5) My retirement years with the woman I cherish and a wonderful daughter who is pretty, smart, independent, funny, and happy... a wonderful house in a beautiful setting... and we're healthy and wealthy enough to enjoy it.
6) A variety of hobbies and interests, most of all finding pleasure in guitar playing and in art.

Our family has so many to appreciate, but after 24 years of MS, hundreds of injections/infusions, & worsening symptoms, most days my wife can still walk unassisted. Sometimes she can outpace me and my fake knee. Now that’s a blessing for sure! :) 🌷

I have 3 amazing kids, 2 fantastic daughters in laws,a beautiful granddaughter and an amazing wife. My wife kept me alive last year while I was going through a Stem Cell Transplant. From now on it’s all gravy!

I’ve been thinking on this lately.

After all… I feel as lucky being here, so I should just ask for one.
I don’t wanna die before my mother.

"Blessing" isn't a word my team uses, but I'd point her in the "plus" column. Now be honest TDPRIers, would your wife say the same about you?
I’m married to a short, violent Mexican woman. I’ll accept whatever she says about me.

I mean…look at how tough and evil she is:

Having gone through 2 surgeries in on week. I’m pretty goofy with the meds and feeling almost human again in stead of a train wreck. I’m religious but not going there. What are you thankful for?
Name 3 things. Mine.
1. Spring is almost is almost here. Here on the western Rockies we’ve had record snowfall with over 500” of snow pack. Cold as all get out but grateful for the moisture after a decade of drought.
2. My wife who suffers from MS. Always willing to cuddle up to me. We listen to music together. Make our meals together as well as the other hard things and joys of life.
3. My abilities in life. 45 years as a diesel mechanic, welder, machinist, electronics wannabe tech. It all fascinated me. Wanna be guitarist & drummer. Doing a little resto on my VWs. Cooking skills.
I’ve had a lotof fun in my life, even counting my 4 major surgeries and a transplant.
What’s your favorite blessings?

Mine are pretty similar to yours:

1. My wife. A lifelong public school teacher, she went back to school and got a master's degree and taught ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) for many years, until the xenophobes in the state legislature effectively shut down her program. She then had to switch from teaching adults to K-12 kids, and eventually became the media center librarian for her K-3 school. When teachers came increasingly under attack in our state, she retired and now works for the county teachers' union to try to protect what few rights teachers still have in our state.

2. Surviving throat cancer, chemo, radiation, and a jaw and neck rebuild (made necessary by damage to the jaw and neck flesh from the radiation, which in turn caused a pathological fracture of my jaw-- it just up and broke one day). That means from now on I'm "that guy wearing a scarf in the middle of a heat wave" (the flesh in my neck on one side was removed because it wouldn't heal, and was replaced by my pectoral muscle from my chest-- it's pretty gnarly looking), see above. But at least I'm still above ground and have gotten to see my kids grow up into thoughtful and caring adults.

3. Work/life balance. I worked for a firm (up to 2013) that tolerated me being in bands, and I was even in a band with one of my firm partners (our marketing director played drums in both our bands, and we practiced in the library after hours!). When we dissolved the firm (the other partners were older and wanted to retire), I was able to pick up work from one of its clients and work for them remotely from home, plus keep a few continuing side clients. I no longer am employed full time by that one client firm, but still work for it and the others as an independent contractor, again from home. So I still get to be in bands! Yay for bands! Yay for driveways!

Since others have mentioned it freely...I'll add God's grace and mercy. Respectively, unmerited favor, and undeserved pardon. I've had fifty years of both; I walk a blessed man's path in spite of myself.

More down to earth, as of today our entire department got a rare cost-of-living raise, about eight percent, which will make a difference.

He's good all the time.

Me, too, but for a little longer.

My wife does the damage with her eyes and silence even though her height, fitness and look can be intimidating to many.

Here's another. I worked days on Sunday, and got home right before severe storms with high winds and hail hit the area.

From what I hear, EVERY VEHICLE on the plant site during that night's shift sustained some hail damage, from broken windshields to total losses. 🤯

I missed it by an hour or two. Or , I could just as easily have been working nights.

I answered your question before but my wife would _never_ say blessing and very likely break her typical silence with words that convey luck, fortune or possibly reward from work.

My life... could have been better, but could have been much worse too. I'm happy where I've been and where I'm at
Health: Mostly grateful that my kids and grandkids are all healthy and none of them have had any serious ailments, diseases, or injuries. at 70, my wife and I are still alive and kicking. no real health problems.
