Having gone through 2 surgeries in on week. I’m pretty goofy with the meds and feeling almost human again in stead of a train wreck. I’m religious but not going there. What are you thankful for?
Name 3 things. Mine.
1. Spring is almost is almost here. Here on the western Rockies we’ve had record snowfall with over 500” of snow pack. Cold as all get out but grateful for the moisture after a decade of drought.
2. My wife who suffers from MS. Always willing to cuddle up to me. We listen to music together. Make our meals together as well as the other hard things and joys of life.
3. My abilities in life. 45 years as a diesel mechanic, welder, machinist, electronics wannabe tech. It all fascinated me. Wanna be guitarist & drummer. Doing a little resto on my VWs. Cooking skills.
I’ve had a lotof fun in my life, even counting my 4 major surgeries and a transplant.
What’s your favorite blessings?

What little health that I have left and the fact that I can still work! My guitars (what ones I can play) and the fact that I have a roof over my head. I'm not religious but I have faith that there is a God and that Jesus is lord if that helps any. Otherwise I figure it could be worse - I could've been born as someone that no one likes and doesn't like themself!

1. My family, three great sisters, one great brother-in-law, and one great daughter.
Our parents were inspirations.
2. Music, specifically songs.
The driving force in my life.
3. My relatively good health.
I feel OK.
I’m not running any marathons anytime soon, but I just
seem to keep on truckin’.

l’ll just throw this into the mix. I got sober about eight years ago. It sometimes feels as if everything good I have comes out of that.

Someone recently gave me his definition of God’s grace: “It’s when you aren’t required, for reasons beyond your understanding, to pay the full price for your poor decisions.”

That about sums it up.

My wife has done more with less than anyone I know. We met in college and somehow just gravitated towards each other-both being introverts. Life was just better when she was around period. As our relationship unfolded, she has challenged me more than anything else in my life and I feel I'm better for it. Many of those things i would have avoided rather than confronted.

I have a life partner who is my best friend.
I observe folks every day who cause me to reflect on the combination of choices and grace that has allowed me to have a pretty rewarding and interesting life.
A broad skillset that assists me in living well on less.

This... could be a long list.
I am grateful my screw-ups don't outnumber my successes. It has been close at times.
