Yeah, if I were to get one of the ID:Core series, I'd probably go with the middle model, which seems like the best combinations of features vs price. At $149, it's still pretty affordable. Plus, the smallest one doesn't have a footswitch jack; I don't know how much I'd use that feature in an amp that small, but it would be nice to have the option anyway. They do still have the USB interface and cabinet emulation of the larger ID series, which could be pretty handy for recording. It does seem like they're also kind of treading into the same territory as the new Line6 AmpliFi line. The ID:Cores have "full range" stereo speakers and seem to be geared towards jamming with an iPod or smartphone. At least the Blackstars aren't ridiculously overpriced for what they are, though. Not to mention Bob Mould, Big Country, Reeves Gabrels, Uli Jon Roth, etc. They have a pretty impressive artist roster.
