black sparkle pickguard

I've been thinking for a while now of changing out the paisley pick guard on my Brad Paisley road worn silver sparkle tele. I've seen some who change it to a plain black guard but to me that kind of dumbs down the flash a bit. And I like the idea of this guitar being a little gaudy and maybe in the opinion of some "gaudy, ugly".
So was considering a black sparkle guard.
I'd like to hear other opinions.

Sometimes less is more. Solid Black allows the Silver Sparkle to shine more.

I have a Silver Metalflake guitar and added a Black Pearl Guard, so that could also be a possibility.

That Reverb seller has stock of a ton of D’Andrea OE Fender guards.

I once owned ( early 80s) a Black Sparkle Partscaster/Telecaster with an original old Fender case and EMG pickups.
I didn't like the neck so I sold it- to the first buyer.
I hated that sparkle look, still do, I believe he was going to part it out but keep the valuable case.
