I’ve been looking for black nickel hardware for my new build. But I can only find knobs, tuners and maybe bridge in this finish. Not the plates covering the controls or neck attachment. ???? Anyone ??

I don't know about nickel for sure, but some pretty cool hardware options in black on StewMac and AllParts, as well. Not vouching for either site or parts quality, but Google reveals all. Also, found this which would be amazing on the right guitar.

Gotoh has a black finish they call "Cosmo". It's not as deep black as Lindy's black chrome, but you might find whole Asian t-types dressed in it. All the parts guys seem to have black control plates, not black chrome/nickle/cosmo.

This right here. I have a bunch of these Gotoh ones and it’s very much in the vein of black nickel. Marc Rutters makes black nickel parts. He might be able to do you a custom order but it’ll probably be on the pricy side as black nickel coated isn’t cheap.

Heya. Even though I've got chrome hardware for my first build I looked at something similar to this on ebay
Couldn't tell though, is the chrome shiny or matte on this?

Ya see it'd go well with the aesthetic I'm going for but definitely love shiny things haha.

I think he's going for less bling, that's full on pistolero bling.

it took me about 45 seconds to find black, tele hardware sets on reverb for $99 clams. I'd look on reverb.

I'm probably being overly cautious, but I'm thinking of kitchen appliances I've seen with "black stainless" that has scratches - which is apparently an easy thing to do. The bright stainless showing through the black surface treatment really looks like #@$@.

We've had gold-plated hardware for years, and know it wears off over time and accept it. I'm kind of wondering if black nickel has the same characteristic.

I think it looks pretty cool!

My main concern, too. Nothing looks cheaper than a black finish that scratches to reveal the copper or pot-metal underneath.
