Thomann have a lot of great discounts on Fender at the moment.
The current range of American Deluxe Strats and Teles are bargain prices and the Ocean Blue Metallic American Standards even better.
It's usually a sign that these models are discontinued and looking on the international Fender site, most of the American Deluxes are no longer available.

Mine arrived this morning. Silly price for a £600 guitar, they must be phasing them out. Most UK shops still want £500, Ebay sellers are selling s/h ones for £450 - these new mex ones are about £260 once converted and come with free postage - that's only a few quid more than the Squier one. I'd buy more if I could afford it and stash them away!!

Bought one yesterday! Price is crazy, for what is a solid instrument, or basis for an interesting project.

If I hadn't just bought a 50s Tribute LP with P90s I would have pounced on this offer (swapping out the pickups for P90s was a plan I had for the Squier version, but couldn't find one for sale). That's a cracking price for a MIM Fender badged guitar.

I just ordered a G&L Tribute Asat deluxe from Thomann. The price was ridiculous - cheaper than most Squiers.

Feeling slightly proud of myself for resisting this one, please don't tell me that there are any Thinline Deluxes going at silly prices.

They must still have had a few in stock anyway, because I just got my shipping confirmation. Many thanks for the tip, xjazzy.

Anyone know of any bigger name players using Cabronitas original Cs, MIMs, clones or whatever? Just curious. I can't think of one! Seems odd since they are really vibey.
I'm hoping it will cure my Gretsch GAS for a few weeks.....

Musicians friend had the sunburst ones for sale today for $45 as their stupid deal of the day. They sold out but check back a bunch because they sometimes make more available.

Yes, packed in the gig bag in the unopened Fender shipping box inside the usual big Thomann box.

Got mine this morning, and just got around to checking it out. Really cool guitar at that price. Quite a chunky C neck and everything, decent-sounding pickups. The only fault I spotted was a bit of farting from the D string not breaking properly over the nut, but I'll leave the set-up until it's in the hands of its new owner. It's all packed up again now, waiting for Christmas.
