Looking forward to seeing them, the SNL musical guests have been pretty bad lately, so it's cool to see a good band on there for a chance.

Jim Carrey on too, so there may even be some comedy tonight! (for a change)

Looks like the guitarist is using a quad reverb (to my eyes) and a marshall

Heard the first song. Haven't listened to them since 2004. Pretty uninspiring compared to what I remember hearing back then.

Good stuff. Almost made sitting through SNL waiting for them worth it.
I liked the performance. They sound much different from their recording (I have the new CD), which is how a real band should do it.

I've been wondering lately what effect he uses for the last riff in "tighten up"...wasn't the same live as on the CD.

Finally a good band on SNL. The last "musical guest" I saw that I liked was TP & the Heartbreakers and that was probably 6 months ago. Well, Katy Perry was OK and the guys in her band have cool guitars.

Wasn't crazy about it either. I've been a bit disappointed with their newer stuff. Huge fan of their earlier work. That said it was a huge improvement over some of the bands that have been on there recently. Don't know why I even watch that show any more, its very rarely even funny. The Black Keys were the only reason I watched last night.

Sorry, not impressed. After SNL, I flipped over to Austin City Limits and the Monsters of Folk played. I was very impressed by them. YMMV.

Yeah for live stuff he runs a Quad Reverb and a Marshal head (not sure which, but probably something vintage and simple) into an 8x10 cab.
