I scored MF’s stupid deal yesterday. The Orange Brent Hines Terror which was discontinued. Great deal.

That strikes me as sad. There is a difference between an essential service, like a corrections officer who has to be on duty, versus someone who works at Walmart. Walmart isn't an essential service.

Haven't purchased anything yet, but I am considering a tee handle 4mm allen wrench @ $2.40 Ppd.

Finally got around to SELL some stuff , after hesitating for years..,
Sold some car engines , other car parts , AND 2 Les Paul's , one Fender Strat , a 76 Pro Reverb amp , a Marshall cab and a few other pieces.......I can hardly spot the difference , I still have faaaaar too much carp , but it's a start.

If you feel you missed out on black Friday deals
...just go to the dollar store next week and buy some more or less useless stuff. ;)

Bought a mic mechanic for the slapback to go with a sax. Sounds as good as my best delay. It was used though.

I don’t get what is sad about it. It’s nothing new. Small businesses are open on Friday after Thanksgiving. If you’re fortunate to work for a company that is closed that’s cool.

There’s are lots of Far worse things you could criticize Walmart and other big businesses for in the way that they way they manage Human Resources but this is not one of them.

All who work in the entertainment industry end up working holidays, and most of us get at least something out of that if only the Macy’s day parade on TV.
I work in a tourist town and really don’t care what day it is when I work because I live by a beautiful beach in a destination location.

But my local grocery workers and such I do feel deserve the day off.
I’m fine with places being closed on holidays but in many cases those who do work retail on holidays get more holiday bonus money for that and want it, because they may not be funded for vacations or even Christmas gifts for the kids.

    I slept until 8:30! That hasn’t happened in 7 years. I didn’t even spend 2-4am wide awake.

Well consider the reality that many who work at Wal Mart have family at home that are maybe smoking crack drinking whiskey and beating whoever is nearest and most defenseless.
Not suggesting that’s the Wal Mart type but lots of low income family home life is not all kindness and good cheer.

Realistically, for many people the home is a dangerous place and it only gets worse on the holidays. The list of bad stuff is long and I won’t post it here in this happy consumer thread!
