Hmmm? Rock N' Roll. Maybe Hippy-extraordinaire "Chris Robinson" should have just danced with the guy then -- escorted the guy offstage... and bought him a beer and a bong after?

I guess the bad boys of boogie are now well paid boomer (slightly after?) businessmen with security and marketing plans that have no room for stage diving and free expression - drugs/alcohol - good ol' fashion hippy style chaos. Okay. What would Sid and Nancy think?

Security had him covered, Rich didn’t need to come charging at him with a Tele buttstroke. Good way to invite a lawsuit and assault with a deadly…guitar charge.
Looked like the drunk was larger than and had briefly repelled the first security guy, nobody up there with him but Rich at that point. Dude's lucky he didn't take that Tele to the jaw and I wish he had; change these folks' calculus a little bit.

Super uncool for other fans, and this kind of thing is terrifying for the artist I am sure; no telling when you're gonna have another Dimebag situation.

A steel guitar engagment.
Over reaction I'd say. Reminds me of 6 bouncers swarming an otherwise harmless drunk. Dude was off the stage in seconds and once he was, security could handle him.
But what do I know? Closest similar thing that happened to me likely was a pesky drunk harp player that "knows all the songs".

Got off light. Morons, I tells ya. No accountin' for 'em.

I agree.

Rich and Chris are total morons/they’ve needed a slap or three for a couple decades/and they got off light here.

And - that ain’t the Black Crowes .

That’s Admiral Patchouli and Open G Ogre with a backing band making union scale - or lower

Ugh…

Nah, get off the damn stage. Ain’t his in anyway. Respect the artist.

I love what Pete Townshend did to Abbie Hoffman at Woodstock.
