What kind of reverb are you looking for?

The Caline is pretty much just a room reverb with a lot of adjustability while the Biyang has room/spring/hall settings but with less adjustment.

If you want a good, basic, reverb sound, the Mosky Spring Reverb is good. I used one up until recently when I splurged on a Keeley Caverns.

If you want a lot of different reverb features, you might want to check out the Ammooon PockVerb, Cuvave Digital Reverb or CoolMusic Reverberry.

Best reverb for $50 or under? Biyang Babyboom Tri-Reverb or Caline Snake bite? Or something else?

Thanks!
I'll let you know asap !

I ordered the Tri-Reverb ( along with Caline Orange Burst) as I have an amp, whose Reverb, I'm not thrilled with.
So I did get the Donner RevEcho, which is a good idea, sounds good
Having both effects in one pedal is a great idea.

Still, I'm curious to hear maybe some more versatility/options from the Biyang

out yonder!
Mine is coming in a few days.
Do you have a few fave settings ? ( I know there is a A or B setting for each type right?)
I keep mine on the Hall setting. Mix around 9:00, time at noon and the a/b switch on the B setting. The a/b is kind of a EQ and works for all the verb types.

It's actually a bright and dark switch like a tone control. B setting is dark.

Got it!
I'm getting the pedal just as an improvement ( maybe) for a couple amps with weak or not really versatile Reverb.
On the cheap as usual, but I've had other Biyang pedals I liked just fine

Yes, please let us know how the Biyang compares to the Revecho. I want (ok, I need, lol) a delay too so that Revecho interests me.

Does the Revecho sound bright/tinny and color the sound at all? What do/don't you like about it?

From the clips I heard, the Biyang Tri-Reverb maybe sounds more smooth, natural, transparent (maybe warm, hopefully not too much or muddy).

I'm wondering if I can be happy with the Revecho for my main reverb/delay. I just like a smooth, natural bit of space to breathe. And a delay to sustain and fatten things up at times.

imo, Chinese pedals are a great way to find out if it's a pedal you really need/want on your board. I'd decided if I did want Reverb on my board I'd probably go for the full size HoF for versatility.

I have tried both ... The Tr-Verb I bought seemed promising, but the one I had quickly developed a hum and so I tried the Snakebite.

Again, imo, Snakebite (CP-26) punches way above it's weight for price and function. In the end I decided I didn't want Reverb but I do still have that pedal.
The controls are very responsive and expressive. However, the (sic) manual/information sheet is pretty useless; so be prepared for a long and steep learning curve before you can master it but (did I say?) - it really is great value for the money :).

(btw sorry, bgmacaw, I'd disagree. On mine the The Res control moves it from from Spring all the way to Cathedral and with the right settings on the two filters even a sparkly-shimmer.)

I got the RevEcho ( a referral from StevesBoogie, here),
because I like the idea of using this combination Delay/Reverb pedal ( $60 for both effects is insane) with one specific Supro amp ( whose Reverb I don't care for), plus the footswitch for this particular amp's Boost and Drive functions ( this is a tube amp with SS boosts built in- no options other than ON/OFF, which I like, simple),
and no other pedals! ( headstock tuner)

( I have a nice/cheap dedicated pedalboard setup for my other amps, so this is just for the Supro- for fun curiosity...)

Just something I have in mind for this one amp. ( for gigs, keeping all simple)

Now for the RevEcho ( and why I ordered the Tri-Reverb):

- the Reverb on the the RevEcho is good and adjustable ( mix/depth), but it is a Room mets Hall kind of thing, and I sort of wish it were Spring. I can definitely use it ( it is better-sounding to me than the amp's Reverb)

The Delay on the RevEcho is nice and bright ( I just mean it is not dark, doesn't color guitar >amp tone)

It has great range in the Delay time, as well as Repeats, and if course the Mix ( wet vs. dry)

** the main issue I need to get used to with this pedal is the pedal is small, the knobs are teeny, so you really have to be careful, and listen to the slightest adjustments-

No noise, and well built, I like it , but will probably prefer the Reverb options of the Tri-Reverb ( possibly for use with ALL my amps if I like it)

i'd probably splurge a little more for a HOF v1 used, maybe the minis are cheaper than the full size. the toneprint stuff makes it flexible, better build quality, and if you don't like it you aren't out the money you put in to try it...that's been on of the problems with the cheapo pedals with me, if i don't like them, they just become doorstops because it's not worth the effort selling a pedal that was 30 dollars new.

I've got both of these pedals. I would recommend the Tri-verb. The Snake Bite is pretty good at what it does, but it's not very intuitive and most of the knobs don't change the sound to a noticeable degree. It's far more complicated than it needs to be. The Tri-verb Spring setting is incredible and sounds like a believeable amp reverb.

I agree with the idea of getting the better, more expensive pedals, IF you don't like the sound of the cheap pedals.

I personally have had good and poor experiences with the cheap guys, but honestly, have never had trouble posting and unloading the cheap ones I did not care for on CL. You just post/wait...

If anything, as most of us know they are cheap already, you can sell them for what you paid- they may lose a little value but not much ( in my case I don't mind taking, say a $5 hit as I already have paid for the pedal with a gig or two)

* hoping to like the Biyang Tri-Verb! Waiting...

Thanks guys. I'm thinking I don't want learning curve (coming from my Boss GT100 multi-effects..which sounds great for these effects actually but, like I said, I want to ditch it for this all analog budget pedalboard).

I could handle the Snakebite learning curve, however. But, now I'm thinking it's down to trying the Donner Revecho (Chiogtr4x's fault. Lol) or getting the Tri-Reverb and searching for a separate delay.

Or...another Reverb/Delay combo pedal? I'm intrigued by these combo pedals and didn't know they existed. Now, I see Caline even has a Reverb/Delay based on the Snakebite.

I like a room/hall reverb better than spring, btw, so that has me thinking I might be fine with the Donner Revecho. Maybe. For awhile. Until i order the Biyang and search for a delay. :D

@Chiogtr4x - any issues with power requirements for the Donner? Will a 9v 100mA input on my Hiree power supply do it? Thanks!

I guess what @Daddy Hojo said is accurate, it takes some time to figure it out. It seemed like that knob just changed the room size to me but maybe it needed some other tinkering to get the spring reverb sound.
