I have a friend who is fairly heavily invested in this.

She claims that some big event is happening at the end of this month that will yield really big income.

I don't know if she's wise to the situation or if she's silly.

    Cryptocurrency - Thoughts????

For currency investing, I keep thinking about the Renminbi.

Anyone remember the airplane game in the early 80s, the phone card scam in the 90s, both pyramids this is the same thing however as long as its in demand it could be a lucrative investment, until its not and that will eventually happen but so will the collapse of western society Its not for me but there are lots of people making lots of money on buying low and selling high

A currency is only as good as its backer, who's backing this stuff?

I knew a guy who bought a bunch of silver right at the end of the climb in the late 80s. He hocked his 401K, and got in it at about 48, or 49 dollars an ounce, he was going to make a killing! It hit around 50 bucks, and then went into a tail spin slide that had it back under six bucks. The guy had a heart attack and his wife left him, his kids wouldn't talk to him, his dog growled at him, and a stray cat would drink milk he poured out at the shop. Those of us who worked around him, worked AROUND him.

Bitcoin is a way to place assets beyond the prying eyes of governments, all governments. Think the internet as the laundromat.

I don't know, it seems to me that those that have made the money already sold theirs.

I’ll just stick with a conservative mix of stocks, bonds and real estate. Boring, I know…

Some of the greatest investing minds out there, including Warren Buffett, have said that when cryptocurrency ends, it's going to end very badly.
