Born in 1955 and of modest means, I couldn't imagine what a 1955 White Falcon would cost, but if I win the lottery, I will find out. Have to remember to buy a ticket.

Unless it originally came from Sears, I'm pretty sure I'm outta luck :(

I would love a '63 Gretsch Country Gentleman, like George had.

Would be nice but '64 would be an expensive year.

My Headstrong Lil King is based off a '64 Princeton though.

Yeah, mine too. Even the reissues are pricey.

Yes indeed, and it was someone on here that posted something about "birth year" guitars a while back that convinced me to look for one. I found this '56 ES-125 that was in great shape... except a couple the tuning gears were barely functional and the bridge slot for the high E was worn down and pushed toward the B string, making the spacing a little off. It plays and sounds fantastic!

Can’t believe I’m going to say this but I’ve never once even considered the notion. Hmmm ‘72 could be pricey. Thanks for sending me down anther G.A.S. fueled rabbit hole. Sigh...it’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it.

I couldn't afford to buy a '51 Tele if I sold my guitars, my house, my wife...oops I didn't say that (she's priceless by the way).
    Love to play one though

If I had been born in 1951, then I would have a birth year guitar.

Alas, my guitar is older than me.

I had a reissue of my birth year Tele. Purchased in ‘93 when I was 41. Found out Strat worked better in my band at the time. Wish I had kept it.

i HAVE THEE IMPRESSSION that Surh is possible the top of a new era of gear.I don't hear a lot ch-ch-chatterin' away
ch-ch-chatterin' away chatterin' away as John Cale puts in the song dirty-ass rock and roll but come back in 10- 15 years and their gear just might be very
collectable, I could be mistaken but I'll never collect on the beat.

Correcting misspelling: “abound” instead of “announces”.

Due to an injury I play lefty now, and not so well. But my all-time favorite neck was from my '64 Duo-Sonic II when I played righty. So I've been collecting up parts to build a left handed Duo-Sonic II and a Mustang. Work's been crazy but I'm hoping to start the build soon, I'll post on it. Here are the neck's, the one on the far right from November is the Duo-Sonic II neck I love that I can't bring myself to cannibalize. The two on the right are both birth year and birth month, I'm an October '64 baby one of the last of the boomers.
