I recently sold a very nice LP traditional...sounded good...too heavy...reminded me why I sold other LP standards over the years...and one of the reasons I have come to like strats and teles. I had a 2008 sunburst BJA lp a few years back and let it go...after a while I missed having a light weight simple guitar so started hunting for a replacement. I just got this one; a 2008 model with the strip tuners and the h90...hmm...I replaced that pickup in the other BJA I had almost immediately. people have talked about the "slim" neck profile...but both were "clubby" compared to my old 63 SG Jr ! at any rate..the guy selling this had not looked after the guitar well....volume knob was spinning...tail strap pin replacement had cracked the finish...a number of other finish cracks etc etc... the strings were on the tuning pegs ad hoc and backwards... some minor stuff...in general playability and intonation were surprisingly good. here are a few shots.... One concern: not sure if this was peculiar to the ivory finish with ebony board on this model: significant finish cracking along the sides of the fingerboard...any comments or concerns or suggestions regarding fixing this up. the price was very good and it included the silly leopard skin case!
