I had a half hour on one a couple of weeks ago, when the lead guitarist brought it to our old band reunion.
Being a guitar tech for 30+ years, he's always had access to various gizmos and gadgets and rated the pedal very highly.
I'll admit to being very impressed by it (and his rack mounted wah), to the extent that I've not got some mild GAS for a Bigsby pedal.

It appears Fender have some skin in the game and the pedal itself resembles the "F" logo.

I'm wondering if anyone else has tried (or owns) one.

I had on but sent it back. The tracking was a bit off to my ears but it’s possible I wasn’t using it correctly . The learning curve was more than I expected as the pedal does a lot more than standard Bigsby stuff

Yes, that is true. It is a very feature rich pedal. The tracking does sometimes (dependent on the settings) have it’s own “effect” sort of sound.

Have you tried the EHX Pitchfork? It also has an expression pedal input, so in theory, you can use it similarly. Hopefully the tracking on these types of pedals continues to improve and progress toward sounding more natural….…although..you can also use that warped electronic tracking sound as a cool effect sometimes….

There are lots of musical possibilities with these types of pedals: related to not only vibrato but also stringbending, harmony, key changes, etc. Using them with polyphonic / Hexaphonic pickups is also fun.

I’ll look at the EHX thanks for the tip

Here is a video using the EHX Pitchfork in combination with an electronic piano sustain pedal that we rewired to use as an expression pedal. In this video, the EHX is set to limit the interval to a whole tone down when the expression pedal is pressed. It definitely has a different feel than the Bigsby and a different sound also.

Did you get one? I like mine.
I haven't yet, due to some immobility I'm not playing plugged in at all; it tends to be my acoustic in bed.

I had a good loan of my mate's one during March last year. It wasn't so much the Bigsby effect that impressed me because I have one on the guitar and use it in a weird, nuanced way, albeit it can produce a warble that a hand operated Bigsby can't.

However, the chorus and vibrato effects that it produces are fantastic and unlike anything I've heard before. Fading the chorus effect on chords at the end of lines are something I've only ever heard at mixing desk/VST level when recording.

I will definitely be adding one in due course.

Cool that your friend loaned one to you. Sorry to hear about the mobility challenges…I hope you are getting better. Would be interested to hear how you use it when you feel better and have the opportunity.
