BIC 4 Color Pen

I went through some of my old stuff recently and found an old BIC 4 color pen from the 1970s probably, it worked perfectly, all four colors. I bought a few more online and they are still made in France and look exactly like my old pen, I should be set for life. Good to see some things stay the same.

I have been using the green ink since finding the pen.

We used to use them in the photo lab to plot the charts in E6 processing control.

I use them daily. I have ran out of blue and black ink in 2 of them.

There's nothing quite the same as writing with a good pen (or at least one that you like.). If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it. My personal preference is the Zebra F-301.

In my previous job I used a green pen exclusively. My co-workers would routinely "borrow" the black and blue pens, so using a green pen was a good way of preventing this.

In 6th grade Science ( 1969) our entire assignment for the Spring, was studying, ending with writing a 'final exam' report (long) on ' The Classification of Animals' (genus, species, Latin...)

I wrote 60 pages using one of those Bic pens- alternating colors on every page- so cool, and smart!
( black/blue/red/green/maybe even yellow too?)
Drove my teacher crazy!
I got a C+

I spent my career in pharma. Black ink only.

That's a trip. Looks like plenty still available, and they just had a 50th anniversary of them at some point.

I also remember having a 10 or 12 color pen, much wider. It was also white with a blue bottom. Sort of like this one linked below. Not sure who made it. It was nowhere near as practical as the 4 color pen.

Nurse pens

my mom was a nurse for years and years and years. And for some reason they color-coded a lot of stuff on charts and reports so they were always around the house.
