I love the show, more or less, but here's the problem:

There's no planned storyline. They're making it up as they go along,

For example, they did these latest episodes without even knowing whether they're contracted for another season. Or if so, just one season? And how many episodes?

It was the same thing with BB:

If they knew they would be on for so many seasons, the writing would be far superior, and the storyline would make more sense.

Now, they throw in these little tidbits that they MAY delve into in future episodes, depending on the life of the show.

There's a definite ceiling as far as how far this show can go without bumping into the Breaking Bad timeline, but I think the writing is cleaver enough to cover their bases. As meticulous as the writing was in the last show, there's no reason to believe it's going to be a haphazard juggling act for Better Call Saul.

AND if you call the number on the commercial you get a recording about the Davis & Maine Law Firm's class action suit for SandPipper residents!

Well, the story plugs along slowly. There was no big even last night. We got a little more insight into Chuck's problems with Jimmy and why he cannot trust him. I suppose the biggest thing is that Mike was subtly threatened by Tuco's uncle.

In latest episode, I was rather confused at the beginning, re Chuck's apparent previous married life. Thought I had the wrong episode, wtf? Also, Howard is quite a dick, huh?

I have not figured out the Howard-Chuck thing yet. I don't know if it is Howard punishing Kim or whether it is Chuck pushing Howard.

But the subtext is that Howard stuck his neck out to help Jimmy, and in a short time Jimmy proved that he cannot play by rules and it blew back on Howard.

Did you notice when he walked in the diner there was a similar bell ringing for a pickup from the kitchen.

    Coincidence...?

    Probably not.

Didn't catch that. Now thinking back I remember the cook ringing the bell for the waitress indicating the order was up. Definitely not a coincidence.

Haha - just proves that all my favorite shows are way more clever than I am. And, I think I have another reason to be glad we recorded it!

I can't believe I live in Albuquerque and I've never actually seen an episode.

If tonight's episode is not a big improvement on last week's, I could be done with this show.

Two weeks ago was really good. Jimmy and Mike both finally made substantial moves towards becoming the Saul and Mike that I have been waiting for. Then last week, virtually the whole show was focused on Kim. I do not care about Kim, or Chuck, or Howard, or either of the law firms. I want to see Jimmy become Saul, in the office with the Statue of Liberty, and Saul and Mike get started with all their dirty business.

With the pace of this show, it seems that it will take 6 seasons to get there. I will not wait around that long. There just is not enough in the show as it is to keep my interest for that long.

My daughter dropped out several episodes ago ...

It's time for Saul to make his appearance on the show.

I'm having a hard time staying awake through any of the episodes so far, no matter what time of day I choose to watch. Getting close to dropping this off the watching list. Didn't think I'd ever say that about a Vince Gilligan related show.

Well, before Jimmy can get into his more interesting dirty Saul business, he needs to get canned from his top level law firm. Sooner would be better than later.

That's it, I'm done! Had enough of Better Call Kim. Given how great Breaking Bad was, this show was a huge disappointment.
