Just finished season 1. I really like it but don't really care for the older brother Chuck character.I liked Marco a lot.

Fantastic series! Easier to watch than Breakin Bad, but loved it too!

I love the internal conflict. He loves his new Mercedes, but can't help being drawn to the seedier side. I loved the scene from last week where he could not help but flick that light switch to see what happens.

I'd like to see the video made for a good laugh.

I'm so hot for Kim as a character and an actor. The look on her face talking her dream of horses and wine, then her dismay over Jimmy's fabrication of pie porn pics. You know she's getting her heart broken. Just great acting.

Love it. The pacing is one of the best things about the show for me.

    Opinions on last night?

I liked the opening with Saul against the wall. Naturally, he had bribed the bus driver to get to the elders to get around solicitation rules.

He simply could not wait to run the commercial by the partners before having it air on TV. Coupled with the bribe to the bus driver, they events demonstrate a character trait in him which is the inability to play by the rules even when the world is going his way?

The suggestion is that Mike is going to whack someone for what's his name.

    Mike's not that guy... yet...

I think "I need him gone" means that Mike is going to 'convince' someone to go away and disappear rather than kill someone.(that would be Mike's last resort, IMO) I actually think it's the goofy Hummer dude. The client may have implied a hit job with the word 'gone' but to Mike, that doesn't have to be a hit job. Remember, he didn't want to break legs for a loan shark, but maybe the pay on this job is high enough that he'll do something more drastic.

I think there's going to be a lot more build up until Mike's doing the heavier type jobs like he was doing in Breaking Bad.

Saul did make a good commercial.

I figure Mike will try to work something out with Nacho. Something like, "Lemme talk to the guy.". Of course, then I did not think Hummer guy was leaving that court parking lot alive, so there is that too.

The preview for next week had Mike shopping for a bolt action rifle. That with the meeting caused me to say intimation because the writers use false leads.

Mike IS that guy... I just don't think he wants to BE that guy.

    Yet....

He's still close to his daughter-in-law and grand-daughter. When that eventually turns sour, so will he.

So what was up with the bullet grazing the house? Mike was outside all night, and there were no gun shots. So she was making that up? For what purpose?

I think Mike is realizing she's nuts, but doesn't want to tell her so, or of his uneventful overnight vigil. So, he just suggests the she move instead.

I skimmed the last few posts since I haven't seen Episode 2 of Season 2 yet. No spoilers, kiddies!

I'm digging the show although I agree the pace is pretty leisurely. It's just so creative-- the skateboarders who say "biznatch", squat cobbler, Chicago sun roof. These are all memes in my head now. Even the whole rigamarole with getting parking validated in the courthouse parking lot. Or getting locked in the dumpster closet at the mall...so much of the show just captures the tiny little agonies of our quotidian lives. I also agree that Kim is the bizness, not the biznatch.

I believe that the newspaper delivery that Mike witnessed implied that she had heard newspapers hitting the concrete in the calm of the night and mistook the sound for gunshots.

I believe he realized that she mistook the sound of the newspapers hitting the ground during delivery for gunshots but could not/did not want to tell her that he sat outside her house all night and had figured it out. The damage to the house is not easily explained, but was likely not gunfire. So to make her feel safe without disclosing his guard duty and perhaps to avoid embarrassing her or making her feel dumb about her mistake, he is taking the easier route of moving her.
