Like many people, I first came across Beth through her work with Joe Bonamassa. She had gotten off to a promising career start, and then suffered some sort of major meltdown- don't know much, really not my business- at any rat, Bonamassa seems to have had much to do with bringing her back to the light. However, he seemed mostly interested in her raw power, and she's a really fine singer, with much more to offer. Here are a few of her own songs, in a somewhat more contemplative vein;

Unbelievable singer! Saw her at a smallish venue in Atlanta just before the submicroscopic infectious agent shut everything down. During loud vocal passages of some songs, she would hold the microphone at arms length, and still came through the PA just fine.
