The best value in a delay pedal is a used Digitech Digidelay.
    $40-50
straight delay up to 4 sec.
    Analog/tape sim
    Modulated delay
    Reverse delay
    8 second looper
    Tap tempo.
    Stereo out.

Is that the Caline “Blue Ocean?” Decent-enough basic “lo-if” (i.e., tape-emulating) delay. I have two so I don’t have to turn a knob to switch between slap and long delay. Both work just fine.

Yeah I wondered that. Those 2 and 3 knob mini delays won't do what I need for U2 stuff right? Don't I need modulation also to get close?

What I'm doing now is running a chorus and a delay together on my Stomplab, but I can't seem to get the delay right. It doesn't have many adjustments.

Sweetwater is selling the Flashback now for $99.99. Not sure if it's V1 or V2. Seems like a solid choice.

Digitech Hardwire DL-8. Superb quality, very versatile (more modes than a DD-3) and relatively inexpensive used on Reverb.com or eBay. I have one and love it.

Not sure if that's the same one. They're about $20 on the bay, they aren't mini pedals, and the graphic says Time Space.

Are there any budget Memory Man clones? I've googled a bit and don't see any.

I have a Flashback X4 that was given to me recently. I've been playing with it more in the last week after I read another thread about Tone Prints. There are some really cool Tone Prints. You can get all sorts of trippy effects. If the OP is wanting those Edge-like delays, $99 for a Flashback is pretty sweet.

BTW I looked at the Sweetwater deal, it's the V1 for $99.99. But since the Flashback Mini is also $99, the V1 still seems like a great deal IMO. Also, Pro Guitar Shop is offering the Alter Ego V2 for $99 currently. Both offer Tone Print.

I just saw the Joyo D-Seed on eBay for $59. It's got tap tempo and modulated delay, the reviews look good.

    Anyone here try one?

I hear you on the Shimverb. I bought one on sale because one of my amps doesn't have reverb, what a mistake. It's now for sale.
