Best speaker for jazz

Hey Mikey, that's interesting. How is a Micro Terror for jazz? What speaker do you prefer with the MT for jazz tones???

Not the best amp for jazz, but still... lowering the gain too much the volume would dissapear as well. I prefer to use it with Delta 15" compared to Ragin Cajun 10" or Celestion Tube 10. The last one is also a good variant as well, but the 15 has more headroom.

Eminence Commonwealth. You get the round smooth tone, plus more clarity than with a hemp cone.

I really like the Eminence Texas Heat for jazz, despite the model name (I'm sure it can do smokin' blues too, haven't tried it for that).

I have to be honest, I hated the texas heat, it had the weirdest freq response. Dark,with a nasal mid, and not a lot of bottom.

Considering your post describes Stevie Ray Vaughan's tone, sorta makes sense ... Texas Heat.
