"Hard Times", Duane Eddy, Old Fats Domino Tune, I believe its Steve Douglas, Maybe Jim Horn, on tenor. Nice intro and call and response at 1:16, Sax holds a note starting at 2:06. Duane really came up with great arrangements and gave the sidemen a shot many times.

Antone's records always put together fantastic house bands, and Mark Kazanoff's nothin' fancy sax work is a frequent highlight (they also use Dave "Fathead" Newman a lot, another terrific player). Sax solo at 1:57;

"Honky Tonk" 'Nother Duane Eddy with, I believe Steve Douglas on sax. Real Drums, Real hand claps, and he plays it in "F" ! Sounds like it was recorded in a whorehouse. Plenty of yells, a little Jimmy Reed, "Oh Baby You Don't Have to Go".

I'm a horn guy, been playing off and on for 50 yrs, still suck. I do, however, know what makes a good horn player. As I think about this aspect, I'm after the folks who aren't featured artists, but are part of a bigger band that wants a killer horn player. Clarence Clemmons, of course. Also, Jeff Coffin of DMB and Bela Fleck is just an amazing player. I offer up as evidence:
