I can't stand musical movies. Sorry. Musical Westerns, Julie Anthony Hills are alive, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Cats, Grease, Rocky Horror Picture Show etc I could never sit all the way through them.

This was the only one I remember paying to see and staying until the end.

I, and my wife, would put that as one of the worst ever. Couldn't even watch it to anywhere near the end.

    My Mom loved that stuff.
She played soundtrack albums of My Fair Lady, Carousel, Brigadoon, Oklahoma, and West Side Story when we were kids in the 60s.
All are full of great songs.
My favorite theme is Carousel, but I like the songs from Brigadoon best.
Ancient stuff, but it shaped my appreciation for song-writing and melodicism.

Singin' in the Rain. Very little plot, but funny as all get-out. Terrific actors and actresses who do the tunes justice.

Jesus Christ Superstar. The original album with Ian Gillan as Jesus and Murray Head as Judas. Great stuff.
