I just want people's opinions on the best Super Strat. Here's a list of the required criteria:

1) 25.5" scale length
2) Flat fingerboard (radius of 12" - 20")
3) Passive HH pickup arrangement
4) Rosewood fingerboard
5) 24 frets
6) Floating tremolo bridge
7) Direct mounted pickups (no rings)
8) Basswood body
9) Maple (or something similar) neck

Here are a couple of models that come to mind:

1) Ernie Ball/Music Man John Petrucci http://www.music-man.com/instruments/guitars/john-petrucci.html

2) Ibanez RG920QMZ (link removed)

Squier stage masters/ show masters were pretty cool superstrats. Reverse headstock, Floyd roses, 24 frets (I think) and even a 7 string model. Oh, and some were neck through rather than bolt on.

I remember a kid I went to high school with had a purple Squier 7-string. I don't remember anything else about that guitar though.

You might want to check out the authorized Music Man clones OLP made in the early 2000s. They made a Petrucci model and they turn up on auction a lot.

I have two OLP clones of the Axis (OLP MM1) and they have been great cheap guitars.
