What do you recommend for a media player for my new PC? Windows Media Player? Groove Music? Others?

I like Winamp, supports many different file types and it's free! :D

I use Media Player. Don't like it that much, but haven't found anything appreciable better. I don't stream, so don't like all the crap that comes with other players.

For music, +1 for Winamp. For video, VLC.

Another vote for Foobar2000 for music, VLC for video.

I just use Spotify, you can add local files to its library…

Foobar for music. It's free, supports most file types natively and more with plug-ins, and has great tagging capabilities. Interface can be a little opaque at first, but if you're a form over function person, it's the best.

I like MPC for videos. VLC is good too, but to my knowledge, is still missing click-to-pause. Windows 10's built in player looks OK too but haven't tried it much.
