Well, it's good looking to me. And black goes with everything, right?

I have always thought one of the nicest looking teles are white ones with some wear marks. So, couple of years ago I transformed my sunburst tele to this... I still think the look is gorgeous. The guitar is 50s Roadworn. The neck was also fully stripped and lacquered.

My number one guitar is a tele, that said, I find them ugly, the Strat and the lp just both look better to me, this question to me
, strikes me as what’s the prettiest ugly girl?

well it’s my blackguard, I still find her ugly, but man, she does old county to Led Zeppelin in a way nothing else can, she is easy on the back, and light, and in a recording studio shows a clarity nothing else touches, even mistakes, so better have the chops if you mess with her.
but she is still kinda ugly. yet also perfect.
That’s exactly what Leo’s ethos was. Make it affordable and reliable. If there’s a few cents left over, make it look a bit nicer!

That, my friend, is one of the best relic jobs I’ve ever seen, so ‘real’, love it!

Where is it, whose was it?
Tamworth Golden Guitar museum (Australia). Some of the exhibits had the actual guitars played by the subject, this particular player (Troy Cassar-Daley) said that he played a tele similar to the one here, so I don't think it was his actual guitar. It looks like a Custom Shop?

Here's another tele that was definitely the actual guitar played for decades by some Emmanuel fella

Edit: just turned on the radio about half an hour after i posted this and they were talking about this museum
