This thread tells me I don't have enough gear. Thanks for showing the beautiful instruments everyone. I'm enjoying it.

I'm a guitar player who happens to play some Teles. Seems very normal, to me.

It's even worse. I traded a George Harrison Tele and some cash for that 335.

Just small stuff in 2018 - no instruments, no amps.
The best was probably the Harley Benton Powerplant ISO-2, works since 8 months as a reliable powersupply on my board, no noise, no hum.
Doesn't seem like something special, but if you rely on certain effects, you'll worship a good powersupply!

    A Yamaha SA1200AS, which I got for $200.

I was shopping around for an ES335 when I found the Yamaha. It was advertised as “junk,” the frets were badly worn, the ebony fretboard had divots worn into it, the top had numerous scratches and dings, the wood around the output jack was broken and repaired with a large washer.

On a rainy day I crowned the frets, leveled out the fretboard with some razor blades, put on some new strings, and plugged it in. Wow, what a great sounding guitar.

It was just too overall darkly voiced for my taste

My wife bought me a Blackstar Fly 3. I don't know what kind of magic they use in such a small space, but you sure can get some nice tones out of it. fly 3.jpg
