Anybody see Looking for Johnny about Johnny Thunders? Any good?
OK...Terrible movie, acting, directing, but I always got a kick out of Eddie and the Cruisers. I thought the band, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, did a terrific job on the music, and the concept of the movie. That being a late 50's do-wop group, and hitting the early 60's with music way ahead of their time.
Movie about Janis Joplin.
Ray wasn't bad.
20 Feet from Stardom was good.
That one about the older guy that played drums in his kids rock band?

Love and Mercy, about Brian Wilson. It got way into his mental issues and how that affected his life, but the first third or so was all about his musical genius, how the session musicians he was working with initially saw him as crazy (they weren't altogether wrong) but after working with him saw him as the genius he was.
