Having owned a few boutique Teles over the years, I was wondering which builders posters here consider to be the best, or who the favorites are? I just received a custom Logan recently, used to own a Nash, and have a K-Line in the hopper at the moment. But there are so many custom builders out there that I've heard great things about and haven't been able to play. Below is an initial list of builders off the top of my head, but I've only played guitars from the first four.

    - Logan
    - Nash
    - K-Line
    - Danocaster
    - Suhr
    - Kirn
    - Kelly
    - MJT (I guess this counts?)
    - Scero
    - Pittman
    - Nacho
    - Mario
    - Fraser

Following... I'm probably going to order a custom Tele next year. Right now I'm pretty sure that I have it narrowed down to Xotic, Mario Martin, or RS Guitarworks. I'm really knocked out by the incredibly consistently drool worthy flame necks that Xotic seems to get, though you can get that from any high end builder.

Very nice! Completely forgot about RS Guitarworks, those and Mario Martin's are supposed to be great. Had never heard of Xotic but those also look to be really nice. Definitely can't go wrong with all of the options out there, it's just so hard to narrow it down.

He's in there, just under Suhr. Added a poll as well for everyone to vote on.

You didn't have Coleman on the list. I'm definitely a satisfied Logan Custom customer (and therefore voted accordingly), but if I were to give another custom builder a try, it would be Coleman Custom Guitars of Ft. Worth. I didn't know about Coleman back in 2008, when I ordered my first Logan Custom. I won't speculate about how things might have been different had I known about Colemans first. No regrets. Like I said, very satisfied customer here.

I haven't even heard of all the custom builders on your list, and I haven't played any of them, apart from Logan Customs.

I vote K-line. I got a 50’s white guard Truxton with his new Signature pickups two months ago and it’s the absolute best guitar I’ve ever owned.

This is awesome to hear. I've played a number of K-Line's over the last year or two and was so impressed that I just had to have one. Hadn't played one with the new pickups but Chris raved about them so I assume they're awesome. Can't wait to get mine in a couple months.

Oh man I completely forgot about Creston! A friend of mine has one and absolutely loves it. He does some really cool stuff design wise as well.

The yellow guitar in my avatar is a Creston. Best guitar I own.

Just kidding. Actually, though a different genre then the usual topic on TDPRI, Mark Campellone for jazzbox guitars. Not sure if he's still making em or not though. Anyway, he's one of the top jazzbox builders alive that won't put you completely in the poor house, if you're ever interested in such things. He's also a heck of a guy!
