    There are loads to choose from. In my opinion the very best cover (if there is such a thing) is Ryan Adams' doing "Wonderwall". Even Noel Gallagher has more than implied it is superior when saying it is the way the song was meant to be done.

    I know you probably know this but Dave Wakeling ( who wrote and originally sang it) tells the story of how he was amazed when he had a phone call from Pete Townshend explaining that he wanted to cover the song but couldn’t work out the tuning and he had David Gilmour with him who couldn’t work it out either.
    Actually, I can’t remember it now although I’ve heard the story multiple times - something like DADDAD I think.
