I agree, when I bought it, the original owner didnt have the mint green guard it came with or the original neck pickup, so those are two replacements I had to find because I loved the look of it stock. Got the pickguard from Allparts, fit great and the Lollar in the neck sounds great with the stock bridge pickup.
The only mod to mine was brass compensated saddles. I added them last year after using the barrels four years. I do like the slightly improved intonation

The stock neck pickup isn't really bright enough for me, I'm used to Strat neck pickups so that probably skews my ears. A swap would probably be ok for me there.

I really like the bridge pickup these Baja's have. Not thin sounding at all, good girth.

Didn't get a chance to hear the neck pickup, but this Lollar sounds great with the bridge. And I do love the bridge pickup, really tasty! No plan to change that at all.
