Had it 2 months ago and then made some rotation changes. And now I can't find it. Its a lunch box size 1949 pp6v6 monoblock. I didn't lend it out, it has to be somewhere in the basement near the molehole.

Sure its happened to others, but I only have 3 working amps. 99.9% sure it was not stolen. So wondering what might be your theories for a disappearing amp...and strategy for finding it.

However, the thought just occurred to me that perhaps it was galactically/karmic traded it out for a recently found old 40's pp6v6 PA amp...idk?

I've misplaced many things, but never something as big as an amp. Even a lunchbox amp isn't super tiny.

I had one stolen once, but never misplaced one.

Knew a 1st trombone player in High School who forgot his trombone back at the hotel before a marching competition. He was too afraid to tell the band director and we thought he’d just try to fake it. Yup he coulda pulled it off maybe until his solo in “What I did for love”.

    I feel your pain.

I couldn't find my 69 Stratocaster one day. I had forgotten that I had taken it to my office for offsite keeping during a trip.

    Whew

I cannot tell you where it is, but I can guarantee you one thing: you will find it in the last place you look.

Unless you're a wackjob and keep looking for it after you find it, of course.

    I misplaced a 50 watt 15" bass combo. It's been AWOL for 8 years...

For many years there's been the rumor of an island called The Land of Misplaced Amps.

Nobody knows exactly where it is; this is purportedly the only photo known to exist:

I did find an amp that I'd forgot that I had. That was a good day.
