just saw this on my youtubes
I'm interested in seeing the differences between this and 'Let It Be.' The first one being that this cut shows more of actually recording the album rather than rehearsing for it.
Looks and sounds great.
Yes, great stuff.
LIB was akin to watching sausage being made.
Niccccccccccccccccccccceeee. Thanks for that!
Why is it that I will devour this Peter Jackson thing, loved the Rick Rubin/Paul McCartney thing, and I remember 20 years ago when the Anthology was out I loved the hell out of all of that but -
The Beatles are about the last band I would ever put on ! To listen to I mean!
Just don’t need to hear that stuff for the 8 millionth time.
This looks great!
Personalities. One of the main reasons George Martin wanted them.
I'm not an Alice Cooper fan...but I LOVE interviews with him and watch them whenever I can. The guy's just so likeable.
The Rick Rubin interview series was great because it was a producer asking the right questions...and having the studio tapes on hand to play.
Looking forward to this. And I'm also a big Peter Jackson fan.
Yeah, I'm totally looking forward to it as well.
This new trailer has a lot more of the tension than the more happy-go-lucky teaser that came out earlier this year.
It wouldn't be a Peter Jackson movie it wasn't a three parter!
I can't wait. It looks so good. But don't tell me there are 57 hours of footage and then show me 3 hours! Just release it all!
Just wait for the Super Deluxe Expanded 4k Blu-ray edition.
Supposedly, a remastered version of the Let It Be film is in the works for physical release as well, probably as part of such a set.
So, eagle-eyed gear-spotters: What do you see in this clip that was interesting/unexpected to you?
For me, that Fender Solid State thing. A bass amp? Looks like a stack, but....
This was a drawing in the magnum opus 2006 Recording the Beatles book of what a typical session in the Beatles' Savile Row studio would look like. Did they manage to include it?
I was all into this drawing until I saw you-know-who in the chair. I guess it's accurate. They should have labeled her.
Yeah, looks like it's #7, marked as Fender PA, behind George at 3:13 in the video clip.
I just don't understand why it's labeled Solid State if it's just a stack. Does it have some amplifying guts of its own, and these are its "solid state"-ness?
I also don't know what a "leak amp" is--marked as 12 in the diagram. I gather that Leak is a Brit product and thus a brand name. But what was it's purpose/merits here?
EDIT: Found it, and this explains it well.
Will this be like watching the Metallica movie when their Psychologist was the star villian? But this time it's Yoko?
I'm going on a spectacular hunger strike until this comes out so I can sit and watch it a thousand times and die nirvanically happy because The Beatles are the best band in the history of all human civilization.
